📚 As the start of the school year approaches, the United Way of Central Arkansas is leading a community-wide effort to ensure local students are equipped with the supplies they need—not just for the first day, but throughout the entire year. In this episode of Here & There, Jessica Clawson, Executive Director of the United Way of Central Arkansas, joins the conversation to share details about the annual "Stuff the Bus" campaign.

🎒 What is Stuff the Bus?
Stuff the Bus is a longstanding school supply drive that unites:

Local school districts
Community members
Business partners (like Conway Corp, local banks, and more)

The goal: collect essential school supplies and distribute them to students in need across the region, based on real-time feedback from school counselors and principals.

🚌 Key Collection Events & Drop-Offs
Donation Boxes: Already placed in local businesses for convenient supply drop-offs.

Main Event: On August 2nd, volunteers will be stationed at Walmart on Hwy 64 North in Conway from 9 AM to 2 PM, collecting supplies directly from the community. Look for the big yellow school bus!

đź’µ Donate Online
For those who prefer not to shop:

QR Code Donations allow monetary contributions and the United Way partners with Walmart to stretch your dollar and buy exactly what’s needed—including items like headphones, which are often overlooked but in high demand.

🤝 Volunteer Opportunities
August 2nd (on-site collection) at Walmart.
Following week (indoor sorting and organizing)—a great option for those avoiding the heat.
High school students can earn volunteer hours by signing up also!
