We covered a lot of ground this week when previewing the West Virginia defense for Penn State's season-opening game on Sept. 2. If you haven't yet, check out the preview of the running game and the passing game from earlier.
We'll look at last season's data to understand which players, schemes, and formations caused West Virginia the most trouble. Then, we'll translate that information and examine which Penn State players can cause the most damage. Will Drew Allar and the passing game lead the way? If so, does Theo Johnson or KeAndre Lambert-Smith become the focal point? And how should the team use formations to get Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen big plays?
