Hero Core - Boss Rush Hard [6:51] [Rank: You can stop now]
5Beating the Boss Rush mode on Hard difficulty in Hero Core. Time is 6 minutes 51 seconds. As far as I know, this is the best legit run not done by Remar himself.
Strategies/comments:
Silencer: pew pew pew
Plasma Hydra: The ideal strategy is ten chain expels, and I do an okay job at doing something like that.
Reaper Drone: Pew pew pew
Liquid Metal Processor: Usually I have trouble getting the perfect vertical position required, but I got really lucky this time.
Rock Smasher: I eventually settled on the shoot-both-ways strat.
Grand Mother: This boss can really screw you over with the random enemy spawns. Making it through three consecutive soldier spawns without losing time was the defining point of this run.
Guardian: Mostly straight shooting. Got somewhat lucky with the core movement.
Star splitter: I had a clear firing line for most of this fight, letting me shoot it dead without much trouble.
Elite: This is where I completely disagree with Remar's strategy. My plan is to focus down one elite first without hitting the other. The best oppoturnity to hit is during the expel, when the elites don't move or shoot, so using the blade for reflect purposes is a no-no. With one down, focusing down the other is easier.
Eliminator: Really hard to kill, I use some expels to help
Tetron: This guy usually goes down in 1 minute no matter what, but I got jittery at the end which cost me some time.
