There is very little information about high scores in this game. I challenge anyone to beat this score, because it's the best I've seen.

It is certainly possible to improve it significantly by abusing the fact that asteroids and balloons are worth more points because the larger ones split into two small ones. Ideally you'd only ever kill those large enemies. Level 19 is the probably the only place to do this at any sensible scale.

I do utilize balloons/asteroids for one advanced tactic. Finishing level 12 with one of these three combinations
-balloons/pacman
-asteroids/pacman
-asteroids/defender
Allows you to kill a large amount of the splitting enemies in one shot at the start of level 13, gaining hundreds of extra points. You can't really realize it from this video alone, since I luck into the combinations naturally during the early difficulties and don't bother with it during the later ones. Other times, I've waited minutes at the end of level 12 to get one of the right combinations.
