5Welcome to Heroes Week - this week we'll be playing three different games based on or inspired by the classic Heroes of Might and Magic! I've had some of these games on my radar for ages so I'm very excited to give them a whirl!
First on the menu is Heroes Project! This looked really intriguing on Steam, let's give its first demo a whirl and see what we got!

Heroes Project is an upcoming turn-based strategy game with lots of promises! It says it emphasizes impactful choices with both short and long-term consequences. Heavily inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic 3, it also features graphical elements inspired by Darkest Dungeon. It promises we'll be able to develop our heroes and cities to overcome enemies in strategic combat, learn powerful spells to sway battles, and immerse themselves in two engaging story campaigns. The game features two types of castles, 17 unique units with upgrade variants, over 20 spells, and more than 20 transformative hero skills. Does it hold up to these promises? Let's find out.
Developed by Robert Tamioła, Heroes Project is slated for Early Access on Steam in 2025-2026.
