This is Part 2 of the hex editing series for modifying Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII game data, and in it I discuss how to access the Main Officer Registry (where almost all player character and NPC information is stored) in order to change values there.

Topics covered include adjusting any officers' names, birth years, attributes, compatibilities, parents, friends, portraits, AP, and gold. I also make various sages of China my character's parents (note from video: Xu Shao's character code is 115 in decimal, and Hua Tuo's is 74), show a nearly-universal compatibility option that will make you have great relationships instantly with (almost) everybody [check the cheat table listing for MORFO Compatibility and set it to 255 in decimal, or FF in hexadecimal], create and set Cao Song as Cao Cao's father within the game, devise a method to get quickly trusted with any officer or number of officers in-game (though it requires using the L1/L2/R1/R2/Start & Select option each time), and lastly turn Cao Cao into a female, complete with *her* own portrait and mannerisms.... :O

I make a lot of mistakes in this video with regards to momentary determination of various game characteristics' memory address assignments, but they are usually either blatantly apparent or are verbally corrected shortly thereafter, so bear with me if you are listening closely. Any lingering mistakes I find in the cheat table that was formed will be revised and updated before the table link is posted.

Stay tuned to Part 3 of the series, in which I will show most of the rest of the officer data and how to modify it (though some portions are difficult to access), like skills, tactics, fame, infamy, deeds, and whatever else we figure out in the moment. I also intend to cover how to change troop levels, commanders, tacticians, city data, skill and tactic names, and so on and so forth.

That is, of course, assuming your ISO for RoTK8 is the same as mine, and that different computer systems do not have an effect on address locations.
