3Warlock 2 The Exiled is a 4X Hex Grid packing, Magical Turn Based Strategy game all about conquering the world or even worlds, and ruling as the magelord supreme!
There’s a campaign mode to go through for those so inclined, but the real meat here is in the sandbox mode.
In the sandbox mode, where the maps are randomly generated, you can play with up to 6 additional worlds you can enter through portals scattered across the main world like the shadow plane, elf – fey world, elementals plane, and more.
You can even start in one of the other planes if you wish, for a cost, just like in the old Master of Magic! Cool!
You can either play as one of the default great mages, or customize them, changing their starting faction, and ability points, even starting them in a pocket dimension alternate plane if you wish!
These other planes, like the elemental, elven, or dead worlds, are much smaller, but have unique characteristics, and provide a bit of a buffer to early mage contact.
You can built armies, customize and conquer cities, summon units, toss out fireballs, shadow bolts, and healing, craft artifacts for hired heroes, all that Great Wizard Stuff!
Gameplay wise:
Warlock 2 The Exiled is pretty much Fantasy Civ 5, with huge influences from the old Master of Magic. Cool! It’s good.
