HexEmulator in Create: Grounded 2.0; This Time: It's Personal!
So, my world from the last stream has been completely ruined with the removal of Biomes O' Plenty-- but it was necessary (why this is is talked about in the Changelog!)
But we're going to be moving onto a new world! EXCITING, because I've added 17 new mods to the modpack-- and one of them is going to change how the world looks FOREVER!
------
Changelog:
- Removed 'Biomes O' Plenty' and 'AquaCulture2'.
Reason:
BoP added a lot of biomes that were very pretty, and had a lot of variety. A large problem I had with BoP is that it added many blocks that were useless, or for decoration only. If there existed a mod that made use of the blocks that BoP adds-- I would not have removed it. I have opted to replace it with Terralith instead.
AC2 added some new fish types, yes-- it also added some new gear as well. However: I feel that these additions aren't 100% in line with what I'm looking for in the modpack, thus: I have removed it.
+ Added 'Charm of Undying', 'Crawl on Demand', 'Create: Slice and Dice', 'Fire arrows ignite fire', 'Geode+', 'Hellion's Sniffer+', 'Just Another Rotten Flesh to Leather Mod', 'Macaw's Paths and Pavings', 'Macaw's Trapdoors', 'Macaw's Doors', 'Ocean Floor - Clay Sand and Dirt', 'Ocean's Delight', 'Oculus', 'Simply Harvesting', 'Stack Refill', 'Terralith', and 'Tree Harvester'.
Reasons:
Some QoL mods, like: JARFtLM, Simply Harvesting, Stack Refill, and Tree Harvester will make the game more stream lined, and replace the tedium of doing basic tasks that do not necessarily contribute to gameplay.
The other mods seek to create a more 'realistic' feel to the modpack, such as: Crawl on Demand, Ocean Floor - CS&D, Ocean's Delight, and Fire arrows ignite fire.
'Terralith' is the replacement biomes mod for BoP-- the reason I chose Terralith is because it adds a variety of biomes that do not use new blocks-- thusly it is 100% compatible with vanilla minecraft. The reason this is important is listed in the reasons for the removed mods above.
Finally: some compatibility mods such as Create: S&D, seek to patch some crafting recipes between existing mods/addons.
~ Decided to adjust Sophisticated Backpacks config file such that the base upgrade crafting recipe is available, since through my checks of loot chests in various structures-- they do NOT exist. Backpacks that are dropped by the rare backpack-touting mobs do not really have the upgrades either, so it was a necessary change!
