Spoiler alert, but just when it looks like Mion will do as Keiichi and Rena wants and turns herself in, she lures Keiichi into an underground prison and tunnel network and makes her intention to kill him known. Downhill is the only direction things proceed to go from here, although just when it looks like Keiichi is screwed a miracle occurs and he is able to escape with his life. But some events in the following days after his survival in the underground tunnels end up subverting that and making this story end on a tragic note, but before this sad ending takes place Ooshi visits Keiichi one day at the hospital to tell him about some things that recasts the entirety of Chapter 2 in an even more confusing light than Neo had seen previously.
Neo is, like in Chapter 1 prior, ultimately left with more questions than answers as to what exactly was happening during the events of Chapter 2. And if he's predicting that Chapter 3 might be more of the same, but adding some more unique twists to boot. Neo's definitely gonna be busy trying to solve this mystery for a while...
