Title kinda says it all. Internet explorer has been hijacked and most websites listed in search engines get redirected elsewhere.
Windows Update cannot be accessed at all, and manually updating Windows screws it over completely.

I had another computer with a similar browser redirection hijack. It was caused by a rootkit, and the tool to remove said rootkit can be found here:
