HINGE: Episode 1 'Early Access gameplay'
16The first episode of 'HINGE' looks very promising.
Not only because of the incredibly pure image quality, but without a doubt also because of the fear challenges that the game has to offer us.
As in most horror games you will have to find and figure out certain things such as items, clues, routes and access to certain areas.
But all this does not come without danger.
The story takes place in a luxurious skyscraper with apartments in which you will experience the story as 5 different characters.
Inside the building, a strange scene played out that made everything we could understand thanks to science question.
For example, most of the people in the building have disappeared and dark entities and forces lurk all over the building.
These entities can scare you in several ways, but what I find worth mentioning was the frightening paranoia effect.
By this I mean that when you cross this entity have no idea where it is around you,
this is because you hear it in all directions, you automatically turn to look, but you always seem to be just too late to spot it.
You hear it, and you know it's right next to you, or in front of you, or behind you, but you don't see it.
Once you can see it, it is often too late and it grabs you.
When the tense is high or when you are hit by an entity you will get a blurry image in response, this blurry image disappears very quickly, but I personally found that the effect in combination with dark spaces was not that helpful.
