2015 marks the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese settlement in Australia. Many Vietnamese became refugees after the Vietnam War, establishing communities in many countries around the world. Coming from a war-torn country to a new world, my family story is like many others - past and present.

I have chosen to make this string as a reflection of my personal history and as a tribute to the challenges my parents faced to give me the best opportunity I could have.
