Hitman 2: Silent Assassin - Silent Assassin Rank, Professional, All Levels compilation
Brief FAQ
Q. Why did you not include the last level?
A. Redemption at Gontranno is not included because a. there is no ranking screen after you complete it b. even if there was a ranking screen, it's legitimately not possible to complete with a SA rank because of the amount of gunshots you'll likely have to do + how the game registers the deaths of the enemies dings your score c. the level is impossible to full stealth because Sergei discovers you even if you haven't alerted anyone up to that point, so it'd be pointless to show a "no detections" run of that level as well d. I did not want to do it more than once, because beating it on professional by itself took me several hours, no less trying to make the run replicable and record it.
Q. Is this all Zeroes/Suit only/etc.?
A. No, the only condition I gave myself was to get a Silent Assassin ranking for each level. Some of the runs as a result might look messy/questionable, but if the game counted it, so did I.
Q. Did you know that you could do [insert strat that is probably easier than the one I used]?
A. That's cool. I'm not necessarily saying that my methods are the end-all be-all of SA Professional runs, and I even make plenty of mistakes that I kept in this video. This is more just an upload to not only compile the SA Professional runs I did for the LP, but also for anyone who might want to watch a longplay of (most) of the game without any commentary.
Q. Which level was the hardest for you to do?
A. For all the wrong reasons, The Motorcade Interception took me the longest amount of time. The Jacuzzi Job was also fairly difficult because of how limited your options are for dealing with Charlie and the bodyguards' AI bugging out a lot. At the Gates also took me a long time to do consistently due to the guard by the power generator being a life-ruiner. As far as levels that were challenging in the right way, I would definitely say either Tunnel Rat or Shogun Showdown qualify (and, consequently, they were the most enjoyable levels to "solve").
Q. Which level was the easiest for you to do?
A. I think Invitation to a Party is widely considered the easiest level in the game due to how easy it is to deal with your targets without any guards intervening. I wouldn't say the level was easy, but I did manage to beat the infamously buggy Hidden Valley on my first try, but I chalk that up to more obscenely good luck than it being straightforward and easy.
Q. Do you plan on doing this type of video for [insert Hitman game here]?
A. Tentatively, I want to do this type of video for both Contracts and Blood Money, but I'm not going to commit to that as of the time of this upload because I have not played either to completion. After BM, I make no promises, because I've heard bad things about Absolution and the 2016 trilogy has an intimidating amount of content.
Q. What platform did you play this on?
A. The footage for this was captured from the HD trilogy remaster on PS3 using my GV USB2.
