Indeed! It seems that the word "Hobbit" was originally going to be used in Dungeons & Dragons but the Tolkein people wouldn't allow it so it was replaced with halfling in all the books. Except for the Cure Light Wounds entry in one of the original handbooks. This is still one of my favorite D&D books of all time. This and the red one with a demon statue. :)
