One of the main stops the first time you visit Hogsmeade is getting your wand from the local branch of Ollivander's Wands.

I've left in the extended bit where I go through the options available for your wand.

Just so you are aware, I checked the wiki and other sources, the options for your wand are purely for roleplay and lore. There are no game mechanics involved whatsoever. Which I think kinda sucks. it would be much better if there were minor gameplay effects.

Example 1: Oak is considered an excellent wood for construction. It is very strong and damage resistant. So perhaps choosing Oak for your wand provides a small defense boost. Perhaps 1 to 5% boost on your defense rating. Using the percentage means it stays relevant into the late game.

Example 2: Choosing Dragon Heartstring as the core provides a small damage boost to any spells related to typical dragon breath types like Incendio (the in-universe fire spell) or Glacius (the in-universe freeze spell) but it would have no effect on the base wand attack.

I am playing with mods enabled in-game. The mods I am using are:

¤ Eluvia - Face Model
¤ Additional Eye Colours
¤ Deathlysallows' Hair Colours

Graphical settings are all on Ultra AND Ray Tracing is switched on. I'm running on a RTX 4080 Super.
