Magical Potions should be an integral part of your combat arsenal & tactics in Hogwarts Legacy, but if you rely on buying them from the shops & traders, they can prove to be very expensive.
The trick to getting cheap, and eventually free, potions, is to use your Room Of Requirement to its full potential. Conjure an extra Potion Crafting Table or two so you can brew potions, (after buying the recipes from J Pippins Store in Hogsmeade), and then get the Hopping Pot "Spellcraft" from Tomes and Scrolls (again in Hogsmeade), which you can then add to your Room, and they will give you free, random potions.
Once you've also got Potting Tables, Chopping Stations & your Beasts Vivarium (farm) producing Potion Ingredients for you too, before you know it you'll have a full inventory of attack potions, ready to dark on the strongest enemies!
