A nice simple short DayZ technique for beginners that I still use to quickly make space in my backpack, usually for larger items, on PlayStation & Xbox Consoles. The tip is to put your backpack on the ground, then quickly add those items back into your inventory, before equipping your (now much emptier) rucksack again.
