Wazzup everyone, welcome back to another video guide on how to open puzzled doors in Hogwarts Legacy on nintendo Switch. This also works on PC, playstation and Xbox.

Firstly, there's a cipher that spells out the numeric values for each symbol. Luckily, it's conveniently placed beside the first door we'll tackle together.

Open your map and head to the north exit on the flying class lawn. Then, head straight ahead, and On your right, you'll spot the entrance to Hogwarts Castle. Step inside and follow along with the video to pinpoint the chest holding the cipher.

Now that we're here, notice a lockbox resting on a bench beside a chalkboard scribbled with numbers. Crack it open to snag the cipher.

This cipher showcases mythical creature symbols, each paired with a numeric value from zero to nine. Now, let's shift focus to the first door. The symbols on this door and all others like this one, are already in sequence. Understanding that these symbols match the numbers from zero to nine means you won't need to refer to the cipher again in Hogwarts Legacy, but for this video guide, let's use the cipher.

Each arithmancy door poses two straightforward equations: one with a solo question mark and another with a double question mark. Add up the surrounding numbers to hit the center number, essentially solving the question mark while juggling numbers and symbols.

In the first equation, the magic number is nine, and we've got a symbol showing the number two. We also have the hydra symbol. Now, Referencing our cipher, we can clearly see that the symbol corresponds to three. Add two and three, and that's five. So, the mystery mark has to be four. and you can see that the owl symbol represents the number 4. Go to the first question mark on your left and choose the owl symbol.

The second equation unveils a four, and with zero plus one, it screams that we need a three to crack this code. The symbol that matches three seems to be the Hydra. So, let's spin the wheel of double question marks until we land on that matching symbol!

Now, just walk up to the puzzled door in hogwarts legacy, press "Y" on your nintendo switch controller to open the door.
