You can think of it as padding but bottom line, we need to get stronger. This part here is devoted to upgrading ourselves. We also learn of our real objective. The objective is to destroy three different guardians and break the seal that will access the temple of the Hollow Knight. Not a hard thing to do but the only problem is that you’re going to be going on a trip… a trip through the world to find them and destroy them.
We also do try our best against a group of knights but those are annoying and a pain, hence why the need to get stronger. The journey will continue in Part 11.
