You can think of this as pretty much padding because I really had no idea what to do. As for the area I’m supposed to be going, that doesn’t happen till the next part.
We check out Fog Canyon. It isn’t much but unless we have the right upgrades, we can’t explore much of it. The good news is that do we take the opportunity to see what each area is all about. We also explore the Howling Cliffs and that place is home to a Nail Master, one of three people who provide the Hollow Knight special abilities. Up first we get the Cyclone Slash, the Spin Attack of the game and it’s a useful attack if enemies overwhelm you.
The real place where we’re supposed to go is the Mines… that’ll happen in Part 6.
