The Home Front Legacy helps local communities identify and map the remains of the First

War (WW1) across the United Kingdom. Using our online recording app, local people can document

and preserve our stories, and vulnerable remains, for future generations.

Together the Council for British Archaeology and Historic England, along with project partners

throughout the UK, are enabling communities to enhance understanding of the impact of the First

World War on Britain’s landscape and consciousness.
