Homesteading on a Terraformed Planet! - Icarus
8Today we'll be checking out Icarus! It is a survival game with the premise of making claims on a newly terraformed planet. This game is absolutely gorgeous. The devs have added SOMETHING to the game every week for a little over 2 years (119 weeks specifically). Constantly adding new items and creatures. There are three different game modes. There is an open world mode, a mission based mode, and a "safe" open world mode. The mission mode gives you a time limit (in real life time) to get missions finished. But it also allows you to earn currency that you can use to purchase equipment that you can take with you when you drop. You can't bring anything back with you that you didn't take down with you. Progression is effectively reset every drop outside of skills and perk points. Once you have some currency up, though, you can drop with items to make your life a little bit better.
