I did this without having to jack up the car. There is just enough room to work under the car safely as the drain is very close to the front. This is just a guide on how I do it. You should use all the safety gear you need like wheel chocks, gloves, and eye protection. I always put on the emergency brakes and make sure the car has cooled down enough so you don't get burned by the engine or the transmission fluid.
