Get an old ratty drybrush as perfectdom shape. Put some pigment powder in and a drop of water mix. The middle one is about right still dry but can be stripped on. All of them work just take longer to dry. Now spread where yoh would like the effects. Don't worry if you put to much get a little white spirit and able to come off.

Love this stuff works awesome as it is. Looks amazing on the chains and next up will use Pigment Fixer and then try some chipping effects 9/10
