Hood Outlaws & Legends The Ranger Gameplay Trailer
6Would you like a little Robin Hood? The Ranger introduces the presentation of the different classes available in the game.
Scheduled for May 10, 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
As a reminder, the Sumo Newcastle game published by Focus Home Interactive, is indeed a multiplayer game taking place in a medieval universe where two teams of 4 players compete to seize the state treasure protected by a whole garrison of guards in armor. Four classes will be available (Ranger, Hunter, Brawler and Mystic) and will, like the other elements of the gameplay gradually be presented in video. Game director Andrew Williams is now taking an interest in the Ranger.
This one, inevitably reminiscent of Robin Hood, is armed with a longbow allowing him to attack enemies from a distance before being spotted. He can thus play the infiltration card by avoiding the direct confrontation that the triggering of an alert would engender.
If he can use his stealth to sneak around, in particular by using his scout skill which allows him to scan his environment and tag the guards for a longer period of time, he is also a protective element for his teammates thanks to his sniper abilities.
By unrolling climbing ropes, it also makes it possible to avoid direct confrontation by avoiding the best guarded passages. However, when unavoidable, he can use his bow for melee attacks or parry hits, unless he is evaded by his agility.
Finally, he also has flash equipment to dazzle his opponents, as well as explosive incendiary arrows capable of creating large areas of damage.
Note that unlocking and then equipping advantages can also come to change the gameplay in depth, but Andrew Williams promises us a presentation dedicated to this aspect of the game. Things are starting to become clearer and no doubt that we will continue to hear about this title in over the next two months.
