Hook – WedNESday – GreenGimmick Gaming
In 1983, the Nintendo Company would release their Family Computer system known as the Famicom in Japan. Two years later, in 1985, the system would be released in the U.S. as the Nintendo Entertainment System and would soon gain worldwide recognition. This little 8-bit third-generation video game system would help revitalize the struggling industry and medium of video games. Boasting a library of over 700 official titles and dozens of unlicensed and unofficial games over its nearly 20-year lifespan, in this series we look to try as many of these games as possible, bring more attention to these title and celebrating the system that inspired and entertained so many over the years.
On this episode of WedNESday if look at the 1992 action game Hook. Based on the film of the same name from 1991, Hook is a platformer game
developed by Painting by Numbers and published by Sony Imagesoft where we take control of an all grown up Peter Pan who returns to Neverland to recuse his children after being by his old nemesis Captain Hook.
