This was just a short hookshot jump tutorial showing the "holding hookshot" or "1 frame" setup.

Hookshot jump can be two frames without "holding hookshot" under these frame conditions:
➥ After the second bobbing animation, tap hookshot on the first red dot frame.
➥ After the second bobbing animation, tap hookshot on the second red dot frame, Link will spasm momentarily, and then hookshot jump.

Short, sweet, and simple:
➥ Get into the corner next to the wooden fence.
➥ Proceed to crouchstab directly to the right once.
➥ ESS, or Shield-Turn down 180.
➥ Backflip, and during the backflip press hookshot and then shield while still holding "z" / target.
➥ Sidehop right, release target, diagonal sideroll holding up-right, re-target and then mash hookshot.
➥ Hold hookshot, release on shown frame.
➥ Hold down AFTER Link is in the air, this applies also for the *two* frame setup. (see above)

Additional notes: The crouchstab isn't required, but puts you in a consistent position that ensures when you hold down, you'll always land.
