In 1812, Commodore Horatio Hornblower visited Tsar Alexander of Russia to discuss Napoleon's continuing advances in Europe. In 1819, Captain Moses Rogers piloted the S. S. Savannah from the East Coast of the US to the very same spot in Russia to meet with Tsar Alexander, and both ships took very similar paths. If you like ships as much as Chris does, this video is for you.
