Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores - Patch 1.25 Updates - Lots of Bugs FIxed
A new patch has been released for the PlayStation 5 version of Horizon Forbidden West, specifically targeting the Burning Shores DLC. This patch, weighing in at 1.121GB, will update the game to version 1.25. While the expansion itself didn't have any significant issues, Guerrilla Games has taken the opportunity to focus on additional bug fixes and crash fixes with this update.
In the realm of main quests, various issues have been addressed. For example, a problem in "To The Burning Shores" where the Defense Drone's laser VFX were not visible after dying or restarting a checkpoint has been resolved. Additionally, an issue in the same quest that prevented the completion of the "Search for a Way Up the Tower" objective if the pullable ceiling was destroyed too early has been rectified. In "Heaven and Earth," leaving the Observatory before the objective updates to "Find the Transmitter" would cause the transmitter to be uninteractable, blocking progression. This issue has been fixed, along with another one where entering the code to open Londra's private room prematurely would prevent the objective from updating correctly.
Several fixes have also been implemented for side quests, addressing issues such as Gildun's hands clipping through Aloy's hair during a hug in "A Friend in the Dark," and a situation in the same quest where placing the Pullable Box halfway through the elevator's exit could hinder further progression.
Various improvements have been made to world activities, including fixing several treasure chests that were located underground and correcting Aloy's dialogue mistakenly stating that she's "picking up another signal" after completing Aerial Capture: South.
Issues related to machines have also been resolved. For instance, the Stingspawn's eye light is now visible, and the Stormbird no longer repeatedly uses the "Thunder Dive" attack without a triggering cooldown.
Weapons have received attention as well, with fixes for issues such as the incorrect ammo display in the Weapon Wheel for the Specter Gauntlet when Aloy is forced to stow her weapon due to a Status Effect while aiming a Designator.
Improvements have been made to the user interface and user experience, addressing concerns like the appearance of a powerless indicator for Battery Stations in Relic Ruins: Murmuring Hollow after reloading the autosave.
Performance and stability have been enhanced through the addition of crash fixes and the resolution of several locations where players could become stuck.
Lastly, miscellaneous issues, including Aloy retaining her Diving Mask during certain cinematics in the "Death's Door" quest during New Game Plus playthroughs, and the removal of floating climbing poles in the Hollywood Hills area, have been rectified.
This patch aims to provide a smoother and more enjoyable experience for players of Horizon Forbidden West on the PlayStation 5, ensuring that both the main game and the Burning Shores DLC are polished and free from major issues.
