Guerrilla Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment collaborated to develop Horizon Forbidden West, an action role-playing game that was released in 2022. This highly anticipated sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of the Western United States, where players navigate through a world recovering from the devastating effects of a rogue robot swarm. Armed with a variety of ranged and melee weapons, players can embark on quests and engage in thrilling battles against hostile machine creatures.

Since its release, Horizon Forbidden West has garnered positive reviews from critics and has achieved impressive sales figures, surpassing 8.4 million units sold by April 2023. To further enhance the gaming experience, an expansion titled Burning Shores was introduced exclusively for the PlayStation 5 version on 19 April 2023. Building upon this success, the game and its expansion were combined and re-released as Horizon Forbidden West - Complete Edition for PlayStation 5 on 6 October 2023. Additionally, fans can look forward to the game's availability on Windows in early 2024.
