These Apex Leaplashers give me fits, and you have to fight through a total of four of them on this side of Gemini. I don't know if I'm still missing a simple attack pattern for them or what, but I find beating them two on one is almost entirely a matter of luck, especially with a third machine adding attacks into the mix.
You want to do this side of Gemini first because whichever side you do second has weird bugs involving the Autosaves, and it can cause you to get locked into a state where you're fighting both waves at once. This is less dangerous on the other side than it is over here, because of the Apex Leaplashers.
0:07 To mitigate this problem, at least for this first encounter, I use a Strike from Above on one of the Leaplashers as they're trying to move through the area to get into position. This is a very buggy interaction, and keeping the Leaplasher from going back into the main chamber is quite difficult.
0:55 I lose control of the Leaplasher and he gets away, forcing me to head up top and catch a ride.
2:05 I try to stop on this platform to get some sniping in on the Leaplashers before heading down. It was good to kill the injured Leaplasher, but after that I should have regrouped and tried something else. Apex Leaplashers have too many HP and are too easily handled with melee for this to be a worthwhile usage of my resources in Gemini. It can be hard to separate even just the lone Leaplasher from the Longlegs, but there are ways to do it.
5:05 When the Longlegs knocks me down here, I use this as a hint to move on from this method and just get into the room properly. I do so at 6:07.
6:40 With the Apex Leaplashers finally cleared out, I have a specific spot from which I want to fight the Longlegs from safely, on the far side of the chamber. It's just a matter of getting there without dying.
7:12 From up here there's not a lot the Longlegs can do with me. He has his fireball attack still, but it's so large and so telegraphed that it's easy for me to use the smelter next to me to block it. Although I immediately mess up and eat a hit from the first one and the last one. Fortunately Sobeck's Raiment has pretty good fire defense on it.
