It may not look like it because of the death, but this is actually a near-perfect execution of the strategy for this fight.

The hardest part is weathering the early stages of the fight with all of the adds active. If you're lucky the two Meridian guards will actually manage to take one or two of them down before they die, but only if you help with the Deathbringer gunner. Which you should.

Even after that there's still a Rattler wielder on the battlefield, and with lucky shots he can kill you at pretty much any point. Try to keep an eye out for him. From there, you're pretty much going to use barrel explosions on Helis. He has far too many HP for any other strategy to be even remotely viable.

At a certain point in the fight Aloy says, "Bridge can't take much more of this". I haven't figured out the exact conditions here, but this either means that Helis only need one more hit, or you simply have to wait out a timer (or maybe both). In any event, it means you're close. Once she says, "It's giving way", you're halfway through the fight and will get a checkpoint.

You'll see at this point that I die from a stray arrow. That wasn't how I planned it exactly, but the strategy *is* to die as soon as Aloy says, "It's giving way" and the checkpoint has saved. By doing that, two things happen:

1. All enemies who are not Helis are removed from the battle
2. All barrels are restored to their original status

On Ultra Hard, restoring the barrels is particularly important, because otherwise I'm not sure there are enough on the battlefield to kill Helis, even if you manage to never miss an explosion. So I highly encourage you to take full advantage of this checkpoint. As you can imagine, if you've made it this far it means the second half is quite easy. Same as the first half, but without any additional enemies to harass you.

The only real mistake I made here was that I used the herb bag instead of Health Boost Potions. After this fight you'll be given 3+ normal potions, 1 Full Health Potion, and 3+ Health Boost potions. If I hadn't touched my herb bag, I would have entered the next stage with 100% of my healing resources available to me.
