I was watching the T260G TAS (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10146517) yesterday, and saw this exact dodge being done. Today, I set out to figure out a set up to do this, and quickly learned that it's hilariously simple.
Once you're at the railing, just hold up.
It's a 100% success rate. No more wasting a handful of seconds zigzagging back and forth to lure the robot off the bridge.

I'm still doing T260G attempts, but since it's probably going to be a while before I get another PB, I figured I'd post this ahead of time for anyone that'd be interested.
