Hotshot Racing on PS5

Another game to disappoint me. This game is the epitome of Hold the Accelerator, Press Left and Right. No cornering, no turning, no racing line. No positioning, no understeer oversteer, just drifting. Drift the turn, boost the gas. Go straight. No chicanery. All the bonus modes are the same as regular lap race. The tracks are forgettable because they don't have real turns. The cars and color palettes are unlockable, which is nice, but that means you have to keep playing this game. As far as I can tell, the money you earn can't buy you anything. The hardest thing to deal with is the graphic choice, because it's so simple all the lines blend together. You can't tell the edge of the road from the background and wind up slamming into a guard rail thinking you're on a straight path. This game might be cheap, but not fun. Therefore, it cannot be called pointless fun. Merely, pointless.
