Top down isometric action 'em up roleplaying game based on the Warhammer 40K universe. Really cool, honestly, as I am a fan of the Warhammer setting especially the outer space aesthetic. These video game adaptions do a great job of pulling you into the universe even if you're not into tabletop games. I went with a sorcerer spellcaster scryomancer Psyker after much debate which was the right choice. The controls are tight and responsive though they do hold you in place while attacking, which I think is an ARPG faux pas. Combat is real-time and tactical and spells blow up in satisfying fashion. I guess what lost me was the constant interruption of the story dialogue. This is particularly what element fans of roleplaying games want, so I may be out of line in saying it bothered me. I like the game but would not sink time into learning its system, especially when something like Path of Exile is more complex and up-to-date and free to play. If you like Action RPGs or CRPGs and love Warhammer 40000, this is your game, just not mine. It is good and well put together. I think it lost me at the system, not the setting. Final takeaway is it's a good game but I wish I would have liked it better. 7 or 8 out of 10, depending.
