9Growing up in Greece, Tasos first learned to bake bread from his mother and grandmother as a young boy. As an adult, he baked at home as a hobby after work or on weekends. When one of his children's pre-school teachers offered to pay for one of his handmade loaves that gave him the idea that maybe he could turn his passion into a business. After 15 years in the corporate world, Tasos is now President and Chief Bread Maker of The Bread Man Baking Company. He literally is 'Houston's Bread Man' because he creates artisan bread for over 40 restaurants and hotels in the city.
