Anish Giri played a phenomenal tournament at the Leo Tolstoy Cup 2021. He scored 8.0/9 finishing first with a gap of 2.5 points over the field. He performed at an Elo of 3003 and gained 55 Elo points, jumping from 2712 to 2767 and from world no.35 to world no.7.

Anish was magnanimous with his time and broke down his performance in great depth. The first video deals with his win against Boris Gelfand which was some insane bit of opening preparation by the Dutch GM. Also it shows what an amazing player Gelfand is.
