A lot of people SAY newer AC's are more efficient than older ones. But, today I wanted to explain HOW they are more efficient. I'm going to explain the components or aspects of the HVAC systems that are better than the older ones. Older AC's were built strong and lasted a long time. But, newer AC's are built more innovative, so saving money and being comfortable is attainable.

HOW are new air conditioners more efficient than old ones? Because the compressor of the AC's are using less energy, with less moving parts. The design of the scroll compressor on newer AC's can withstand less than perfect installation practices too.

Condenser coil and evaporator coils are a little bigger now making it easier to transfer heat, increasing the SEER rating of the HVAC system. Energy Star suggests certain thermostats that help save energy usage. ECM blower motors and variable speed blower motors are designed to be more efficient while delivering more evenly distributed airflow.

Finally, the innovation of equipment over the last few decades has been enormous. We have single-stage, two-stage, and variable speed AC's now which for more efficient AC's than the older ones.

I hope you enjoy the video.
