How Cheating Turned Dream's Minecraft Stardom Into a Nightmare
Before July 2019, no one had ever heard of Dream.
But in just a year and a half, he went from an absolute nobody to one of the biggest names on YouTube, with 15 million subs and a Minecraft empire to his name.
That kind of massive, sudden success would change anyone’s life, but for Dream, those changes weren’t all positive - whether it was the infamous cheating scandal, people impersonating him online, or his toxic army of fans.
Dream’s incredible rise to fame was unprecedented, but it didn’t come without controversy or mistakes.
It’s the story of a kid who set out to reach the top, but wasn’t totally ready for what he found there.
