Hello welcome back and today we are talking about the current state of tbc classic. With Phase 2 being out now for a full week and we are beginning week 2 there have been quite a number of bugs within the newly released content.
The Sha’tari Skyguard faction primary quest chain is bugged and can’t be completed. The bugged portion of the quest chain having to do with summoning Terrok. In addition, Ogri’la prerequisites were completely bugged and couldn’t be completed, and now multiple other ogri’la quests like bomb them again and others are bugged.
In addition to the new faction daily quests it appears even the new seasonal Brewfest quests were not spared from the code fumble. The Barking brewfest quests are bugged for horde which is going to set you behind prize tickets if you’re going for purchasing seasonal rewards. And personally, I haven’t seen the secret plans drop after fighting off the dark iron dwarves invading the ironforge brewfest camp yet, but maybe that has been fixed after this week’s maintenance.
Besides new dailies the new raids have some issues too. Kaelthas has been dropping threat making some raids which would otherwise be able to clear unable to do so. On top of that Blizzard has even admitted that SSC and TK both have loot missing from their loot tables. I quote: “I can confirm that we do indeed have a bug preventing some bosses in Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep from dropping certain items from their loot table. We’ve got a hotfix for it on the way, and we expect it to take effect with scheduled weekly maintenance.”
So at least this lockout we can expect the loot dropping that should.
But it’s not only new content that is riddled with bugs, the old content has seemed to run into issues with blizzard haphazard implementation of phase 2.
The Karazhan chess event has now become bugged which makes accessing and downing Prince impossible, which as you can imagine is a very unpleasant surprise to those raiding karazhan specifically for gear off prince that they haven’t gotten. But that’s not all! Karazhan isn’t the only raid that’s bugged from Blizzard’s Phase 2 release.
Gruul’s Lair’s High King Maulgar fight is randomly one-shotting people. Kosh has been one-shotting BiS geared mages after stealing his spellshield and even High King himself is one shotting after doing – 0 damage with whirlwind his next hit will just smack a fully geared tank dead.
Hopefully after this week’s reset these are fixed but it was a bumpy first week of phase 2 across the board for Blizzard. And to be fair bugs are expected with new content. It is launch week of course and usually the first week of a new patch or new content will have bugs. But after a week of content many are becoming concerned with the lack of communication from blizzard on these bugs.
Granted we had some communication on the ogrila bug and the loot tables bug, but what about the rest? Hopefully blizzard will see
This might make one wonder – WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT!?!?
Well, there is a lot happening. The company is certainly under a lot of pressure right now from the united states government organization the securities and exchange commission also known as the SEC as well as a number of other organizations investigating their activities and it has to be causing some quality issues internally.
It’s pretty crazy what’s been going on with my favorite game company and I hope that they make it through it all better than ever before.
