This is an overview of how music was made on computers from the Commodore 64 to Gravis ultrasound, Soundblaster, Roland MT32, Amiga and PC Speaker. It's a simple overview to understand the fundamental differences. I did read about a lot more details, but it became to much to explain, for one video of all the different ways of producing sound. I guess I made a little mistake on MIDI, when saying it plays samples. For PC games, that's usually how it is, but it doesn't have to be, since it's just a communication standard.
