Dead space 3 is a solid challenge for those looking for a somewhat difficult game to platinum.
The game requires at least 4 playthroughs. including one on hardcore mode.
Hardcore is a mode where if you die the game wipes your save file, meaning you have to beat the game in one life. Thankfully you back up your save after each chapter and if you use the foam finger exploit it makes it even easier.
The game features co-op play and co-op trophies. More annoying is that there are collectibles trapped behind these co-op missions. thankfully there is only 4 co-op missions and if one person picks up a collectible it counts for both players. some other co-op trophies include reviving you partner 10 times, give them a blueprint, give them an item from your inventory and completing all the co-op missions.
Some chapters have specific trophies. Like in chapter 7 where you need to destroy 70 items while flying to the planet. And in chapter 10 where you need to defeat the drill boss without taking damage. And finally in chapter 14 where you need to kill 5 mine enemies with gas. The main thing to focus on is that even if you fail these you can simply exit the game and restart from the last checkpoint. Don't hit checkpoint restart you need actually exit to the main menu otherwise it nullifies the trophy.
Miscellaneous stuff include dismember 1000 limbs, kill 50 enemies while they are in stasis, kill 30 enemies with axes, kill enemies with explosives, etc. Nothing too difficult here.
Last is the DLC, which is a short mini campaign which you need to beat 2 times, kill and spare the leader, charge the reactor in 90 seconds. pretty easy considering how short the DLC is.
