898Fallout 3 marked an important shift in the Fallout franchise. No longer was it a trimetric cRPG, rather as of 2008, the franchise was now a first and third person action RPG. With this brought many changes and modernizations to the RPG genre. One of which was an update to Fallout's Aimed Shot mechanic, now called VATS. And it was in Fallout 3 that an extremely overpowered perk changed the way the game could be played through VATS. But, this perk was so overpowered that later installments in the franchise sought to nerf it. This is the rise and fall of Grim Reaper's Sprint, the most most overpowered perk in Fallout history.
