How I would do a Colmesh-1 for something with multiple objects

Without joining everything.
Basically make simple geometry for complex shapes and position them to cover the main parts you would want to collide with.
Not sure if this is the best way, or fastest way.
This is a simple model just made with many parts that are not joined.
I have seen levels that the entire level is 500 meshes, would be a hassle to combine everything, but would also be a hassle to make a crude model for everything. It would take a lot of work regardless but maybe less work with crude collision mesh geometry.
I can make a video more in detail if I rushed though this too fast.
