How Important Is Determination In FM24 - Football Manager 2024 Experiment
18For years now I have heard that Determination is a key attribute for any player that will reach their full potential in Football Manager. One attribute alone only makes up part of a footballer's abilities but it does seem that certain attributes could have a big weight on how quickly a player may reach their true potential and they can even have a big impact on whether they reach their full potential.
In this video I am going to run an experiment with two identical players. Player A will be set up with 20 for his Determination attribute. He is a gifted player who is willing to work hard to reach the top and stay at the top. Player B has a score of 2 for Determination. He is one of those players who now believes because he has made it at a big club he doesn't have to work any harder to stay at the top of his game.
Both of the players have been cloned from Liam Delap and have all of his current and potential abilities at the start of a brand new save of FM24.
The experiment will begin in the 23/24 season when both players are 18 years old and will run for 3 full seasons. During this time they will both be locked in as starters in the Manchester City team playing as the attacking duo in a 442 tactic.
What impact does their determination scores have on their outcomes? There's only one way to find out!
