A brief look at the references in the Wile E Coyote Chase bonus level in ACME Arsenal! Some of these are a little tenuous - the steam train reference, for example, might not be referencing a specific cartoon but I included the gags it reminded me of. The same goes for the machine guns. The most similar gag I could think of was in Beep Prepared, although admittedly the guns in the game look more like rifles. While there are several gags that feature rifles in the cartoons (eg: Zipping Along, 1953), I could not think of another gag in which guns were placed on either side of the road as they are in this level.
As for the red rocket, I have included the scenes that I can recall and, as shown in the video, count only four instances of Wile E using a red rocket in the cartoons. Can you think of any more?
