How NERFED is our DPS!? PTS Dungeon running for Science!
118Today is Episode15 of my Let's Play The Elder Scrolls Online series! Lots of you see me play on live streams on my own channel, on the Bethesda channel and even occasionally on other creator's channels. But you MOST of the time hear me either talking to you directly in the stream chat or talking to the audience overall in the form of a guide, tutorial or walk through for builds, dungeons, trials, and arena guides.
This series is to show you the causal stuff, the chill zone, the playing with regular people kinda stuff. This Let's Play ESO series is basically, me, some Patreon supporters and/or viewers/supporters of the channel in a dungeon, or general content! We pick whatever the group fancies doing and just PLAY the game...for FUN!
Today we are on the the PTS (Public test server) testing out the potential for the upcoming update 35 patch. The intention is for dps OVERALL to go down. Which is hard to balance since there are millions of ways to make a BUILD. The developers have also lessened the health of BOSSES in trials and dungeons. While leaving the trash pulls the same.
The lesser damage and the lesser health is not a strict trade off making everything the same. There IS an impact however today we runs some tests in some popular DLC dungeons in order to gauge the difference VS the live server, to see if there really is anything to panic about.
The intention is to allow players to engage in the content and approach set in stone mechanics with their own stratergies. The "brute force" mentality harms the game's design and so they are trying to reign it in without punishing players for it at the same time.
