A note on cutscenes: The first part of the jump-out cutscene and the autopilot cutscene are rendered in-engine and are part of the game.
It is possible to kill in these cutscenes (for example, by launching missiles at a target then jumping out). It is also possible to take damage and even die in these cutscenes, which puts Privateer in a very select group that includes I Wanna Be The Guy and not a lot else.

Swag points are available for killing Seelig in this way, but I'm still trying to make the pirates neutral, so I didn't even try.

Skipping Lynch's final mission saves time, but we do pass up the chance to hear Miggs's dialog in the ambush. :(
