In an irrational effort to 'summon' Final Fantasy VII Rebirth from the ether, I started playing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade—only to inadvertently summon Final Fantasy XVI instead. In this stream, Chapter 3 sees Cloud arriving in the Sector 7 Slums and starting work with Tifa at the Seventh Heaven bar. As they reconnect, Cloud takes on various mercenary jobs to help the community and earn some gil. Amidst the growing tensions with Shinra, Cloud and Tifa witness Johnny, a local resident, being apprehended by Shinra troops. Cloud intervenes to rescue Johnny, showcasing his combat skills and deepening his involvement with the resistance against Shinra's oppressive control. This part of the story sets the stage for Cloud's growing role in the fight for the slums.
