Continuing from the events of Chapter 4 during my last Twitch stream, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade led us into the intense Chapter 5. After successfully regrouping at the train station, Cloud, Tifa, and Barret embark on their mission to take down another Mako reactor. They ride the train toward their target but are soon discovered by Shinra security, forcing the team to fight their way through the underplate tunnels to reach Sector 5.
Upon reaching the Sector 5 Mako Reactor, the team prepares to plant another bomb. However, they quickly realize that Shinra has set a trap for them. The group faces off against the Airbuster, a powerful Shinra war machine designed to protect the reactor. The battle is intense, with Cloud, Tifa, and Barret working together to defeat the Airbuster.
After the climactic battle, the Airbuster's explosion causes massive damage to the reactor, and in the chaos, Cloud is separated from his teammates. The blast sends him tumbling off the platform, and he plummets through the sky, crashing through the roof of an old, abandoned church in the Sector 5 Slums. Cloud lands in a bed of flowers, where he is unexpectedly reunited with Aerith, the flower girl he briefly met earlier. This marks a significant turning point in the story.
